2008 NEWS LETTER

Greetings to our Customers, and information seekers!

Fuel Prices are on customers minds this season. Indian Hill Ranch is close to home for our neighboring metro areas and our customers are continuing to enjoy the outdoors without leaving the state or traveling hundreds of extra miles. Our rate structure has not changed for several years, as we hope to make your outing affordable in the face of fuel costs.

Drought Conditions exist throughout California and it has affected our water supply as well. Our lakes did not reach capacity this summer and are now in decline. Fishing has been good however, with more bank area to access the best fishing spots. Our ground water that supplies domestic needs is plentiful and all ranch wells are in good shape.

Sheep Grazing has been intense this year to reduce the fire hazard. Our live lawn mowers left us this week after a 6 week eating binge. They (all 1000) left happy and anxious to come back next spring.

Behind the Gate Our gate is now operated by a "Mighty Mule" electric activator. It opens with a keypad code and closes after about 30 seconds. Upon your arrival, the gate code is provided to you in your registration packet. Please pass through the gate immediately as it opens to avoid any mishaps.

Group Outings We are pleased to host our long time customers, Royal Rangers, Roundup, Hash Hounds, and as always Lazy Daze. These folks occupy our Twin Lakes area exclusively during their stay and conduct their activities according to their needs. We thank you for your business.

Laundry Room Now has new Maytag front loader washers and dryers for our registered guests.

New Weather Site To check our weather, a new website is now online featuring a monitoring station in nearby Alpine Forest. Take a look at www.wunderground.com (enter Zip code 93561 and select Alpine Forest Park.) Historical records of weather data are available. Always bring a jacket for evenings as the temp runs between 50- 60 degrees F at night in the summer. In the winter, bring a parka.
